Hmmmm....did I say I liked the rain? That was before the entire night of raging thunder, lightning and torrential rain followed by more of the same today.
'It's sooo unusual....' How many times have I heard that in hotspots around the world? David and I were renowned rain-bringers - I must be carrying on the tradition. And the land drains here are not prepared for such inundation - the roads turn into rivers. Sadly the little grey symbols are peppered over the weather maps for the week to come - and just as we plan to move on to Mendoza the same dark clouds are due to be there! It may be a very quick move into Chile......
Anyway, yesterday we had a brill time. First I went to Tango school with Lesley and watched her having a lesson. A beautiful building now turned into studios inhabited by 'bailarines' (dancers) and filled with the haunting strains of tango music.
Later we ate a delicious lunch at the Boca art gallery restaurant before seeing the Ron Mueck exhibition, then wandering past Tango demos in the old quarter.
This morning we braved the downpour and did another pilates session - this afternoon we're having massages with Maricel .....it's not all bad.....
