Solo Preparations

It's the 1st of February - a month I don't much enjoy, despite having been born in it. February needs to have positive things in it - and yesterday I began posting some prints for sale in my online Etsy shop - with enormous input from Liz Lyons and her husband Grant of Visual Philosophy. Go to Etsy.com and search alisonhoblynprints in the shops; magically more prints will appear as the month progresses... Thanks Liz and Grant! This is despite the fact that tomorrow I leave for Buenos Aires - with a side trip to Chile - for pretty much the whole of the month.

It's been quite something getting ready for this. I've done insurances, car service, dentistry, new glasses (given in to varifocals to help me with my artwork - well, sort of; they're on trial for the duration of my holiday) and even today - re-pressurised the hot water cylinder (all by myself!) I'm just a girl who knows how to have fun....

I'm hoping to be posting lovely adventures in the next month - alongside my old friend Lesley who spends her winters in Argentina, tango-dancing.
It's a good date to go. Tomorrow is Candlemas, exactly half-way between Christmas and Easter and a pre-figuring of the light to come.
The trip doesn't feel quite real tonight - tomorrow as I set off for the airport, it may......
